What happens when:

  • Our way of looking slows down?
  • We search for words?
  • Our imagination is stimulated?
  • And we actively explore what art can mean for us?
During this one-day Crash Course Education, art educators, artists, and other arts professionals will jointly explore how conversations around art can be meaningful today. A day of looking, feeling, making, and connecting.There are various methodologies for engaging in dialogue with visual art. These can be craft-based as well as philosophical. Sometimes analytical, sometimes imaginative. Over the past ten years, this field has grown and expanded significantly. In this Crash Course edition of Fieldwork, one central question takes the stage: how do we create meaningful conversations through art — conversations in which we actively explore what art can mean in our lives?Two Crash Courses will use existing methodologies as their point of departure. Participants are invited to combine these with their own expertise. The aim is not to arrive at a single answer, but to become wiser together.At the end of the day, participants will go home with:
  • New formats and perspectives
  • Concrete methodologies for engaging in conversations through art

Kunstpunt Groningen (voorheen CBK) is hét knooppunt voor beeldende kunst. Wij lenen kunstwerken uit, begeleiden kunstopdrachten in de openbare ruimte en bij bedrijven, ontwikkelen educatieprojecten voor scholen en organiseren tentoonstellingen en activiteiten. 

Kunstpunt Groningen (formerly CBK) is the hub for visual arts. We lend works of art, supervise art assignments in public spaces and at companies, develop educational projects for schools and organize exhibitions and activities.
