Liza Dryzhova (or Lizok), is an artist living in Groningen, the Netherlands. She just finished master's program at Hanze University, MAPs (Materials in Artistic Practices).

Liza's art is all about exploring the things we usually can't see. She gathers objects that have been lost or left behind and puts them together into collections. She uses materials she comes across to try and find a common thread, a shared ritual, with the different characters she feels inside her.

Liza searches for the magic hidden in our everyday world – a world full of so much wonder if you just look closely. She takes these small fragments and builds a sort of personal archive. This helps her uncover whole characters, each with their own habits, moods, and life stories. She thinks that everyone carries their own universe within them, and that even the 'characters' inside us have their own living, changing worlds. Her art is an invitation for you to step into her universe, to get to know your own inner characters a bit better, and to find that everyday magic that lives inside all of us.
