Exhibition of printmaking: the silent world
About this activity.
March 15 to May 31, Stadsgalerie, Groningen
Dark residual shapes among snow-covered branches, blue shadows on white paths, different textures and color nuances in the ice... the beginning of 2026 brought inspiration to many artists.
Now we're entering spring with a special new exhibition by artists who draw inspiration from the seasons.
The woodcarvers we present this time capture the small and grand things around us in their poetic prints. They depict diverse scenes: from the everyday contents of a kitchen cupboard to the tranquil reflections in the Drentsche Aa, and from a nighttime window view of Groningen to breathtaking panoramas overseas.
This spring we are exhibiting work by Siemen Dijkstra, Grietje Postma, Tim Blaauw, Marjolein Terwindt and Annette Hoolsema.
Also on display will be new work by: Annemarie de Groot, Anna Maria Vargiu, Marein Konijn, Roelie Douw, Milan Smidt and Jannes Koetsier.
Opening: Sunday, March 15th at 4:00 p.m. – come by, join us for a toast, and be inspired!
Location: Stadsgalerie, Oude Boteringestraat 7, Groningen.
