About this activity.

“Clothing has always been important to me. It is a direct expression of who I am.” 

With this statement by Grietha Scheers in mind, artist Ellen Korth created a photo series about Grietha from Groningen and her clothing. Their love of clothing connects them, but their approach to it differs greatly. Grietha enjoys wearing her extensive collection of dresses, coats and hats. For her, fashion is something to celebrate and experience. Ellen has a completely different relationship with clothing. Over the course of many years, she has turned her worn clothing into new works of art.  It has become her way of expressing her identity in sculpture.
