The muse (‘myzə) noun (f.) mu·ze

'In art and literature, a muse is a person (usually a woman) who inspires an artist to create creative work. The term originates from Greek mythology, where the nine Muses were the goddesses of art and science.' 

In honour of International Women's Day, the upcoming lino workshop by djoekebaduke will focus on the theme of the muse. On Saturday 7 March, we will use lino art to capture our muses. Do you already have a muse? Then bring her along, either in a photo or in person. Don't have a muse yet? There will be plenty of inspiring women there to inspire you!

* The ticket price covers the cost of materials. At the end of the workshop, there will be a “pay what you can” QR code for the workshop itself. Cash payments must be exact.

On Saturday 7 March, Kunstpunt is organising a tour of artworks by female artists! It starts at 12 noon on the Stadsbalkon in front of the Central Station and ends at Kunstpunt: just in time to take part in the djoekebaduke workshop 😉. Come along! For information and tickets, visit this page.
