Kunstpunt has been working for nearly 40 years at the intersection of creating, guiding, realizing, managing, and activating art. We know the art field from the inside, understand where questions arise, where knowledge is lacking, and where there is a need for exchange and reflection. From this position, we have developed Veldwerk: a platform where practical experience and knowledge development come together.
Veldwerk is a new program in which we explore, together, how current developments in the arts and in the professional field (from local to global) can be translated into practice. Veldwerk is not a fixed program, but a research methodology: curious, critical, and conducted in active dialogue with artists, curators, commissioners, policymakers, producers, educators, and other professionals involved in art, education, and public space.
Legacy
The first theme is legacy. What do you leave behind as an artist? How do you ensure that your work is properly managed and preserved? During the launch, we will introduce the program and screen the short documentary Fluisteraars by director Saskia Jeulink, followed by a discussion. The work of Loes Heebink, who reflects deeply on the traces an artist leaves behind, plays a central role. Both will be present as guests.
