Groningen is getting a unique art experience this winter: AR Graffiti: Hall of Fame, the very first self-designed exhibition by the Groningen art collective WERC. Every weekend from January 31st to February 22nd, the EMG in Stadshavens will be transformed into a virtual graffiti world where art, light, and sound converge, and the visitor takes center stage.

In AR Graffiti 3.0, the public literally steps into the artwork. By moving and interacting with the environment, visitors bring various digital graffiti pieces to life. Interactive video projections and a specially composed soundscape combine to create an immersive 270-degree experience that completely blurs the lines between physical street art and digital creation.

In addition to the main installation, WERC is also exhibiting AR Graffiti 1.0 and 2.0 in an adjacent space. These earlier versions provide context and demonstrate how the collective gradually transformed traditional graffiti into a new, digital form of expression where technology and creativity reinforce each other.

This exhibition is made possible through our partnership with MY Facilities. Thanks to their technical expertise, we are creating the video projections for AR Graffiti: Hall of Fame.
