Eijkhout meets Endendijk
About this activity.
Joyce Eijkhout is a versatile artist with a rich and layered oeuvre. Since graduating with honors from ABK Minerva Groningen (1997), she has developed a distinctive visual language that quickly attracted the attention of renowned galleries. Her work is included in various collections, including the Drents Museum and the Piet Hein Eek collection. In her latest work, she deliberately chooses not to develop the underpainting into a realistic finish. This creates an intriguing sense of alienation, where the contours and shapes evoke a playful, sometimes almost surreal atmosphere.
Hans Endendijk made his breakthrough in Milan in 2021 as a highlight of the Fuorisalone Milano design week, and his work was included in the permanent collection of Galleria Rosanna Orlandi. His sculptural furniture set HE, SHE, and IT displays a unique interplay between strength and softness. His latest work combines parametric drawing methods with Art Deco motifs—techniques typically associated with industrial production. Endendijk blends pure geometry with flowing lines to create a unique formal language. For him, mastery of both craft and digital techniques is essential to creating uncompromising harmony. His work is a fusion of technique, material, and artistic vision.
What makes this exhibition particularly special is the personal connection between the two creators. Their artistic affinity is the silent force behind this exhibition.
A meeting of worlds that reinforce each other.
