Art Tour of the Ebbingekwartier During Open Monument Day 2025

About this activity.

During Open Monument Day, we are organizing a tour of the Ebbingekwartier on Sunday, September 14th, starting at 1:30 p.m.

This neighborhood has undergone a true transformation in recent decades. The old industrial and commercial area has made way for a vibrant residential neighborhood atop a huge parking garage. New homes, restaurants, and workplaces have been created, while (parts of) old buildings have been repurposed.

During the tour organized by Kunstpunt on Sunday, September 14th, one of our experienced tour guides, who has also been involved in the renovation of several locations, will take you on a journey through time. From the monumental Winged Lions from 1910 to contemporary street art: this tour shows how the successful blend of old and new has made the Ebbingekwartier a unique place.

Kunstpunt Groningen (voorheen CBK) is hét knooppunt voor beeldende kunst. Wij lenen kunstwerken uit, begeleiden kunstopdrachten in de openbare ruimte en bij bedrijven, ontwikkelen educatieprojecten voor scholen en organiseren tentoonstellingen en activiteiten. 

Kunstpunt Groningen (formerly CBK) is the hub for visual arts. We lend works of art, supervise art assignments in public spaces and at companies, develop educational projects for schools and organize exhibitions and activities.
