SUMMER SALON
About this activity.
It's summer again. Gone are the dark winter days, gone is the gloomy, gloomy light. Gone are the times when the sun barely showed itself. No more sneaky attacks by rain or snow on our precious photo equipment. The winter blues are no more than a faint memory, something from the past. The sun is shining, there are beautiful skies with impressive, photogenic cumulus clouds again. We rush outside to make the most of the golden and blue hours. Nature shows its most colorful side. Flowers and birds shamelessly show their most intense colors. The wide-angle, telephoto, the macro lens, they renew our inspiration. People put their uninviting dark winter clothes away in a deep cupboard. They get out their playful, colorful nothings and parade unashamedly through the city and on the beach. Everything calls for a camera, a lens, a light-sensitive sensor! The Summer Salon is one of the nicest exhibitions that Galerie Lichtzone organizes during the year. Of course, we often have thematic exhibitions. Portraits, street photography, China, all sorts of things are covered. But for a varied, diverse, varied exhibition, you should visit our Summer Salon. And who knows, maybe some of that warm summer atmosphere will radiate from the photos. A number of Lichtzone photographers are participating and talented photographers ‘from outside’ responded to our Summer Salon call. The remarkable thing is that in this way we get work of an unexpected diversity and quality in-house. The call for the Salon contained a list of vague conditions, vague enough to guarantee a wide variety of photographic work. Whether this Summer Salon will indeed have the sunny appearance that we have outlined here is still the question at the time of writing. It is up to you, the visitor to the exhibition, to form an idea about this.

Galerie Lichtzone biedt een podium aan veel verschillende fotografen. Ongeacht stroming, stijl of onderwerpkeuze biedt de galerie fotografen de gelegenheid fotowerk te exposeren. Daardoor is het aanbod verrassend gevarieerd. Elke maand is er bij Fotogalerie Lichtzone weer een nieuwe foto-expositie te bekijken.
