This year NP3 premieres at the Groningen Pride Walk 2025, presenting Jurjen Galema’s first moving installation Gondola of Wrath! Inspired by the sin of wrath, and the circle of hell associated with it in Dante Alighieri’s ‘La Divina Commedia’, Jurjen has created a striking and flamboyant mobile installation. Sitting on a gondola, a red demon accompanies the gorgeous Lola Lasagna across the river Styx of the underworld. Metaphorically, the viewers become the wrathful sinners, who drown in the river as the boat floats by. 

Gondola of Wrath is the sixth sin of Jurjen’s larger project to make installations for each of the seven deadly sins. With the mobile installation, Jurjen brings his work into the public space.

NP3.

NP3 is een tentoonstellings- en onderzoeksruimte voor hedendaagse experimenterende kunst. Zij beschikt over drie unieke locaties in de stad van Groningen met ieder een eigen architectuur, functie en uitstraling: RE:Search:Gallery aan de Hofstraat 21, de containerkunsthal MOBi aan de Suikerlaan 41 en eMMa het 24/7/365 interactieve programma in de Videobusstop van Rem Koolhaas op het Emmaplein.
