Paper from tipping point to opportunity
About this activity.
The installation in the historic church of Adorp in 2009 was a turning point for Ina Fekken. Her hand-cut paper shapes temporarily brought images back into the church. Where there used to be murals before the iconoclasm (1566). Since then, Ina has made various installations from paper, often in a historic setting with (usually) a current theme. She works almost exclusively in paper, directly on the wall, in 3D, pop-up, dioramas and in installations. Ina is currently using a relatively new technique, the motif is lasered from paper, whereby she seeks the boundaries of what is still possible.
A selection of her work, both hand-cut and lasered, can be seen in the church of Goldjebloum from 27 July.
Open: only on Sundays from 13:00 to 16:30
Ina will be present on Sunday 27 July, 14 September and 5 October. She will then give a number of guided tours about the why and how of her work.
