About this activity.
In VARIéTé / SKeTCHeS, several characters take the stage, which together form a loose queer little history/ies. Join us for an experimental WIP presentation, about themes such as w^rm, l_w, womxn, b*dy and c-m-ng together.

- This program is for eyes, ears, fingers, nose and mouth. Live spoken image and object description are included.
This is a low-stimuli program. There are no flashing lights. Let us know beforehand if you have any other sensory needs. - TW: this program contains short references to violence against people of sodomy, homosexuality, transgenderness and marronage.
- The venue contains a gender-neutral bathroom.
- This program is English-spoken, with a few Dutch songs.

About the artist:
Michiel Teeuw is an artist & researcher who uses image, text, and action to forge a direct, tactile & critical relationship with the systems around us. Teeuw is concerned with the protection & maintenance of endangered histories & futures. The most important thing is the liberation & pleasure found in learning from/with others. The learning process, which combines intense research with radical imagination, starts with a process of reading-gathering, and is followed by making various new social connections.

the pink cube. is a platform for queer art and culture, which has historically been marginalized, violated, or destroyed. Facing adversity, queer communities embraced yet resilient manifestations of their culture: fashion, dance, language, humor and art. This platform aims to highlight these immaterial but influential contributions, to foster a space for queer art and individuals to thrive and to nurture community bonds.

the pink cube. is een platform voor queer kunst en cultuur, die van oudsher gemarginaliseerd, geschonden of vernietigd zijn. Geconfronteerd met deze dreigingen omarmen queer gemeenschappen ontastbare maar onverwoestbare manifestaties van hun cultuur: mode, dans, taal, humor en kunst. Dit platform wil deze immateriële maar invloedrijke bijdragen onder de aandacht brengen, een ruimte creëren waar queer kunst en individuen kunnen floreren en verbintenis in de gemeenschap stimuleren.
