Indira de Boer (Amsterdam, 2000) lives and works in Groningen. She graduated from the Minerva Academy in Groningen in 2024. Her work is rooted in an examination of how meaning is constructed and how material plays an active role in this process. In her work, she explores the new materialist idea that meaning is not only created by humans, but also arises from the interaction between human and non-human entities. Through material transformations, sculptures and spatial compositions, she questions the relationship between object, viewer and the social frameworks that determine what is meaningful. She has exhibited at Afslag BLV (Heerenveen) and Kunstruimte de Melkfabriek (Den Bosch), among others.
