Maakfestival ('Festival of Making')

A celebration of creativity with a look into the future!

This year, the third edition of the Maakfestival will take place in the Forum and on the Nieuwe Markt (the square near the Forum). The place where makers come together to inspire each other and you! During the event, special attention is paid to 'remaking' and solutions for sustainability, but other innovative projects or experiments also deserve a place. The one-day festival, Saturday 8 June from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., offers a stage to various enthusiasts such as makers, hobbyists, crafters, engineers, scientists, designers and artists who want to present their latest or nicest (technologically innovative) project or experiment.

In addition to makers, there are also repair cafés, so bring your broken household appliances, textiles and/or children's bicycles. Who knows, it might get a second life at the Maakfestival!
