Best Groningen Book Festival

About this activity.

This year, ten books have a chance to become the Best Groningen Book 2023. The jury each chose five books from a total of 64 entries for both the fiction and non-fiction categories. The winners will be announced on Saturday evening, March 18, during the first Best Groningen Book Festival in Forum Groningen.

It will be a festive, pleasant evening for everyone who loves good books. There are drinks, tasty snacks and plenty of space to catch up and network. In between drinks, book devourer and literature connoisseur Elke Maasbommel has a curious question for each nominated writer. The writers will also each read an excerpt.

There will also be a performance by Pixelpocket, consisting of DJ Irie Weergang Bove and poet Charlotte Beerda, who move through the musical universe in a way that transcends genres. DJ Coco Coquelicot energizes the party with danceable fine music, with a literary set specially composed for this evening. Boekhandel van der Velde is present to sell the nominated books, you can have them signed immediately. The evening will take place in Forum Groningen in the Rabo studio. You are welcome from half past eight. The program starts at eight o'clock. Drinks can be purchased at the bar.
