A look inside the studio of Maaike Nijlunsing
Artist Maaike Nijlunsing paints abandoned and industrial places — locations that were once full of activity and are now marked by silence. From 22 January to 28 February 2026, her solo exhibition Close to Home is on view at the Art Library of Kunstpunt Groningen. For this exhibition, she stayed close to home and found inspiration in the north of the Netherlands, including the Hogeland, Ameland and Farmsum. We visited Maaike in her studio. Credits:…
