Colour District Beijum 2 Bridge Passers-By (Kleurwijk Beijum 2 Brugpassanten – 2 parts)

Sascha Steenaart

About this artwork.

Sascha Steenaart made sculptures of pedestrians walking across a steel bridge in three different manners: Kees walks nonchalantly across the bridge, Truus and Auke, the older couple, are talking hand in hand. Beneath them flows the water of the Zuidwending, the canal that runs straight through Beijum and centuries ago served as a flood barrier for the low-lying peat bog in which Beijum lay.

Location.

Emingaheerd (brug Centrum West)
