Untitled
Ron Caspers
About this artwork.
On a white pillar, Ron Caspers, metal designer and art blacksmith, has placed a red-coloured steel spiral shape that ends in a pennant. The object is equipped with lighting.
The reason for the creation of the artwork was the adaptation of the entrance to the Aquamarijn flats. Originally, the entrance was a small, cramped hall, which was poorly matched to the generous floor plan of the flats. The architect Daan Scheffer therefore extended the entrance with, among other things, a chequered natural stone “runner” and a white wall leading from the public space to the entrance.
Caspers has aligned his artwork with the architect's design in terms of form and colour, to such an extent that the individual parts are difficult to distinguish.
