Guided Tour in the Noorderplantsoen – Sunday 21 May

About this activity.

At the end of the nineteenth century, the Noorderplantsoen was realized on the northwestern part of the Groningen defensive walls. This park is not only a green oasis north of the center, but also a place where you will encounter special visual art and architecture. You will find works of art by Jan van Baren, Mattheus Meesters and Wladimir de Vries, and the beautiful pavilion by city architect Siebe Jan Bouma has been a popular place to moor since 1930.

On Sunday 21 May, Kunstpunt Groningen is organizing a tour of this cultural and green spot in the city. One of our enthusiastic tour guides will take you from the southernmost tip of the park on the Wilhelminakade through the park to the other side on the Nieuwe Ebbingestraat. A maximum of 15 people can participate.

The starting point is the entrance to the park on the south side, at the intersection of the Noorderhaven Noordzijde, Wilhelminakade and Leliesingel.
