Kiki Kruisdijk's art is an exploration of what does not yet have a name or place. She makes spatial sculptures, drawings and paintings that reveal her universe bit by bit, in order to visually express an inner landscape. Kiki's work can be identified as imaginative, candid, playful and intuitive.

In Galerie Noord she presents Birds Singing: a study in which she explores the balance between head and body by stepping outside the traditional forms of sculpture and painting. In this way Kiki hopes to arouse a more sensory experience on the part of the viewer, causing a reappraisal of one''s immediate surroundings.

Kiki Kruisdijk (1991) completed Art Academy Minerva in 2016 in Fine Art. Her studio space is located in the WEP artists' initiative (Groningen). In 2019 she was declared winner of Galerie Noord's Winter Salon by a professional jury. Her project Birds Singing is financially supported by Kunstraad Groningen and Stichting Stokroos.

Galerie Noord.

Galerie Noord is een expositieruimte in hartje Groningen. Vierwekelijks bieden we kunstenaars uit het Noorden de mogelijkheid recent werk te tonen, solo of in kleine groepen. Galerie Noord richt zich op autonoom, experimenteel en onderzoekend werk in vrijwel alle disciplines. We willen bezoekers verrassen door tentoonstellingen te bieden met een wisselend karakter. 
 
Galerie Noord wordt volledig gerund door vrijwilligers. In 1997 werd de galerie opgericht als kunstenaarsinitiatief.
