Ploughing Digital Landscapes: Online Exhibition

1 November 2025 to 25 November 2025

About this activity.

Ploughing Digital Landscapes is an online art exhibition organised by WILLOW Online Art Space. The exhibition emerges from a residency program exploring how digital environments can become spaces for reimagining our relationships with the more-than-human world. During the residency, WILLOW invited artists Anna Musikhina and Jurel Bakker to experiment with digital media as a tool for connection, reciprocity, and rewilding, moving beyond preservation and control toward curiosity, care, and mutual learning.

The residency program included research and creation phases hosted by WERC Collective and Ecovillage Land van Aine, where the participating artists engaged directly with regenerative environments and local communities. Over the course of several weeks, and across the different landscapes of Groningen and Ter Apel, they developed new interactive digital experiences inspired by the question: What if the online space could become a theatre for alternative ways of being with the living world?

The virtual exhibition Ploughing Digital Landscapes brings together the works in an immersive digital space where visitors can glimpse and experience, through play and technological mediation, more-than-human entanglements.

Join our opening event on November 1st from 14:00 until 16:00 in EdanZ (Studio 2). You will have a chance to experience the exhibition, discover the artists' process and inspiration, and have some drinks and bites with a good company.
