Finissage expositie E. Cammenga

About this activity.

The exhibition by visual artist E. Cammenga in the Bierumer School will be concluded with a finissage on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September.

Visual artist E. Cammenga has been staying at the Bierumer School as a guest artist since 1 July. In recent months she has created new work for her exhibition Geschetste zoute Maritopen, met bijkomstige strandingen. Her three-month working period will now be concluded with a final presentation.

Her work relates to the history of the area, the churches, the frescoes, the people who once lived here, ships disappeared in the Eems. The exhibition comprises a combination of video images, spatial objects and drawings. There are, among other things, three saltwater aquariums that were created with the help of the MuzeeAquarium Delfzijl. Water plays a major role in every place in the building. The playfulness and humor in Cammenga's work often evoke a smile, but also surprise, among other things, about the sounds that the fish produce.
