About this activity.
Seize the day with this exhibition full of colorful art!
Paintings by Lydia Jonkman, ceramics by Ursula de Boer, and mosaics by Tetdy Stol.
From November 6 to November 30, from Thursday to Sunday, 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Lydia Jonkman is inspired by the landscape of the North of Holland. She enjoys painting flowers, animals, and fields. Cows hold a special place in her heart, which she regularly paints in her studio in Siddeburen. She says: "I still look at creation with wonder; an insect zooming by, a flower bud opening, the autumn colors, the winter... each season brings something beautiful." All of this can also be found in her art books and postcards. And on her website www.lydiajonkman.nl.
Ursula de Boer lives in Siddeburen, where she has her studio at home. In addition to giving ceramics classes, she enjoys working on her own ceramic projects. This results in diverse work, ranging from animals to unique vases. “I prefer to work on a large scale and enjoy experimenting with shapes and colors. I make my animals as realistic as possible; muscles, fur, or feathers can be well represented with clay. This way, besides the diversity of my work, my approach also differs per subject,” says Ursula.
Tetdy Stol works in her studio in Sappemeer with various materials and techniques. On her website www.beeldenkunst.nl, you can find not only sculptures but also ceramics, graphics, and mosaics. “I just can't choose between the many possibilities. New ideas constantly arise in my mind to explore,” she explains.
In this November exhibition, her mosaic works are included.
On November 30, the exhibition concludes with a finissage from 3:00 PM. Lydia, Ursula, and Tetdy will be present and are happy to welcome you!
